  1. all international flight must check in at least 2 hr early before the flight

  2. Ideally, you should be at the airport 2 hours in advance which is at 10.00am in your case. Travelling on a good traffic day, the journey from your hotel to the KLIA would most probably take an hour. However to avoid being delayed due to unexpected traffic situations, i would advise you to allow extra 15 minutes for the journey to the airport.

    Recently there has been a lot of police road blocks in and within the Kuala Lumpur city centre ( due to political reasons ). Do check with your hotel staff to confirm if there is any. If there are road blocks, then the traffic would be at nightmare speed. If that happens, i suggest you not to take taxi but take the LRT train instead. There is a station near KLCC. Take this LRT from KLCC and alight at KL Sentral. At KL Sentral, there are Malaysia Airlines counters which you can check in for your flight and luggage too. From that station, take the ERL Train direct to KLIA. The journey takes about 27 minutes and the fare is only RM35.00 and there is a train every 15 minutes. Since you have already checked in earlier, you need not worry anything and have ample time to spare. Actually even if the traffic is smooth, it is more convenient to take this train and check in for your flight at the train station before going to the airport.

    If you take a cab to the airport, just make sure you reach the airport latest by 11.00am although ideally you should be there 2 hours before your flight. The period between 10.00am to 2.00pm is not really a peak time at KLIA,therefore getting through the immigration would be quite fast. Check in also would not pose any problem. Malaysia Airlines  passengers can check in at any Malaysia Airlines counters ( there are quite many ). Unlike travelling on other airlines, you don't have to check in at a specific counter as per your destination. You can check in at any Malaysian Airlines counter which is manned. I think at that time, you don't even have to queue at all to check in.

  3. Generally, you check-in at least one hour before departure...so you should be at the check-in counter getting your broading pass latest by 11:00 a.m. as otherwise, you may find that your seat will be given to those on "stand-by" ....Private cars and taxis may take some 2 to 3  hours from KLCC...Trains are quicker, but I won't trust the schedulle...and if there are road blocks and protest marches..I doubt you will ever  get to KLIA  on time....So, it's up to you....start at 8:00 a.m. ?

  4. You should always be AT the airport an hour before departure, I would even go as far as an hour and a half before departure.

  5. is this your first time??? everybody know that we should be on the airport at least 2hrs before the flight time.. and if you are departing from hotel near Petronas Twin Tower, you better leave the hotel by 8am (since your flight is by 12noon).. traveling time between Petronas Twin Tower to KLIA by train might take approximately 1hrs and 15min.. GOOD LUCK!!!

    PEACE =D

  6. you should be check-in at the airport at least 2 hours before departing. this is the minimum requirement if you want to avoid any hassle later on. And if you are staying in hotel nearby the twin towers, you should leave the hotel as early as 8.30am to avoid morning traffic.
