it's about 3 hours,depending on which train you get!it varies between 2 hours 45 minutes to 3 hours.if u get a direct one,it will be quicker,obviously.i'm sure you will be safe,just tell someone you are going and where you are staying and travel in the daytime if possible and if you have a mobile phone ,you can always call someone ,if you are worried.there are always train guards and staff around.good luck ,enjoy your first trip alone,i hope you have fun!take care
