How many hours differnce between PDT and EST Time Zones?

Question

Does anyone know how many hours difference between the Eastern time zone and the PDT Pacific Day time zone? I know that EST is ahead but now exactly sure by how much. Any ideas?

The answers above are INCORRECT.  The CORRECT answer is 2 hours.  There is a 3 hour time difference between eastern standard time and pacific standard time.   For example, if it is 9AM (EST) in South Bend, Indiana, it is 6AM (PST) in Los Angeles.  When daylight savings goes into effect, it would be 9AM (EST) in South Bend (northwest indiana does not follow daylight savings time) but would be 7AM (PDT) in Los Angeles.  The answer is 2 hours.
