  1. You may be hired with a Private Pilot Certificate, but it won't be as a pilot. - you will need a Commercial Certificate or higher for that.

Sec. 61.113  Private pilot privileges and limitations: Pilot in command.

        (a) Except as provided in paragraphs (b) through (g) of this

section, no person who holds a private pilot certificate may act as pilot in command of an aircraft that is carrying passengers or property for compensation or hire; nor may that person, for compensation or hire, act as pilot in command of an aircraft.

To save you the trouble of reviewing the remainder of the part of the FARs, paragraphs (b) through (g) do not apply to the situation you described in your question.

  2. You have to have a commercial airman certificate to be paid for providing pilot services.

  3. In order to work-for-hire the miminum requirement is a CPL

  4. As long as you have your PPL, however you'll be paying for all those flights yourself.

  5. First of all you cannot get hired for ANY company with a Private Pilots license. You must have a Commercial and an IFR , possibly a multi engine depending on what aircraft you fly.The hours vary greatly , it could be from 300 to 1000+ .
