  1. When I was young, I'd spend most of the day on the beach, going in out of the water. I could easily spend two or three hours in the water each session. But that was forty years ago. Now I'm only good for about an hour. If I'm staying near the water, I might do two sessions a day, depending on the tide and the break. Sometimes, if I'm at the beach (I live two hours away) and I'm caught for time, I might just go in for four or five rides. It's better to surf for half and hour than not to surf at all.

  2. Usually do 2 hour sessions at least 3 - 4 times a week or more when Daylight Saving time kicks in. It's hard to get much Winter surfing in due to lack of daylight and having an 8 - 6 job.

  3. really depends on how good the waves are and the current temp but lets say its summer and we just had a hurricane and the waves were pumping id be out there for like 4+ hours go grab a bite and then go paddle out till sun down

  4. If you're any good I would be in the hopes that you would be spending more time on your board than in the water so to speak...and watch out for those sharks...jelly fish...and even friggin' sting rays (don't wanna end up like Steve Irwin now do we?)

  5. Any time from half an hour to "dawn to dusk" depending on what the waves are like ...... and whatever else is happening in your life.

  6. It depends the ocean conditions. From 30 minutes until 3 hours.  The crowd is also an important factor. Saludos, Jorge desde Perú.

  7. Here in Hawaii with moderate water temperatures and clean water, I spend about 1 and a half to 2 hours per session.  Depends on the waves and conditions, but on the average that amount of time seems just right.  I would spend more hours in the water when I was younger, but as I got older I found that less time was just as satisfying.  I think everyone varies; it just depends on leaving when you are satisfied.

  8. cold nd rainy ... bout 2

lovely nd sunny ... bout 4

  9. On a good day, I'll spend about 6... because I will lose track of time. On a bad day, I'll spend about 2. Just varies.

  10. 2 hours for one session. if im on holiday, 2 sessions a day. but most the time its after or before work or weekend and i got other stuff to do.... sux!! would love to spend more time in the water!!!

  11. Surf until the mouth cant take the salt of the water! (expression bra)

which is useally two to three houres.

  12. I would say an average session is probably 2 hours, but it varies a lot.  If the waves are good it may be a lot longer but if there is a lot of paddling due to current or if I have have to duck dive 20 waves on the way out it may be shorter.  I won't do more than one session a day in the winter but if the waves are good in the summer I will .  Winter sessions may be shorter also depending upon how cold I get.
