How many hours does a 6 week Lab puppy sleep daily?

just bought one today...and its been sleeping a lot

My 6 week Border Collie Lab mix slept heaps when I first got her (5 days ago) But now she hardly ever sleeps. I'd say around 15 hours.

Or whenever she gets sick of playing, and eating and drinking. :p

There's no set amount of time they sleep, all puppies are different.

Well, he should have stayed with his Mom until he was 7-8 weeks old.

He's a baby, he will sleep almost all the time , except for 30 minutes wake up, play with his brothers and sisters every 2 hours during the day.  Then back to sleep.

The up time will lengthen as he grows.

Well a puppy is going to sleep alot.. But If I was you I would check his temp and make sure he not running a fever and you can google the normal temp for a puppy.. I believe it is  rectal temperature of a dog is 99.5° to 102.5°F.

They pretty much sleep ALL day long, but I am concerned at the fact you got the puppy at 6 weeks. Puppies should not leave their Mom until at least 8wks.  Between 6-7wks puppies start playing with each other rough, and they learn not to bite as hard or to play as hard. Do to the other crying when they bite to hard, plus other things.  Well the best of luck to you and your new puppy!

Its still a baby. Let it sleep all it wants. It probably will sleep a good majority of the day. And keep it quiet and comforted, as its probably going to be scared and missing its mommy.

Puppies will sleep a lot. Usually from 15 hours to 20 hours. Puppies need their sleep, so they can grow up healthy... Let your puppy sleep. good luck, and congrats. A puppy is a lot of work... :)
