Moot point.

You can't fall behind by making more money.  You always come out ahead in the long run.  Go ahead and work as much overtime as possible and make as much money as possible.

Worrying about the taxes first is putting the cart before the horse.  Not making as much as possible would be like turning down a big lottery win because you didn't want to pay the taxes.

It depends on the OVERALL YEARLY salary that is FIGURED on each WEEK of PAY so you have to find out what the YEARLY BRACKETS ARE and Divide them by 52 to get the amounts for WEEKLY earnings.......That is why if you make too much in ONE WEEK they will TAX YOU HARD because they figure it on a YEARLY BASIS which is how you pay AT THE END so you end up GETTING IT BACK as a REFUND anyway........That is THE EXCESS that you were taxed.

you don't want to work no more then 10 overtime. for after that you are paying irs. that is when you pay out more on taxes from your weekly paycheck.

Take Wartz's advice.

Your taxes gradually go up as you make more.   There are not any brackets that even remotely come close to 100%.  If you make more money, you will take home more money.
