  1. I don't know why don't you try it.

  2. "im planning to get myself into this on my 39th birthday."

Ah. When and how are you planning on getting yourself out of this? I realize that as a culture we have been lulled into a false sense of security by the fact that we can hop in our car and drive from LA to NYC. It doesn't work that way on the high seas. Is it possible for a small power boat to circumnavigate the globe? Yes, if it's the right type of boat, with years and years of training and planning, and no small amount of luck. Remember that luck favors the well-prepared.

Maybe for your 39th birthday, treat yourself to a membership with US Power Squadrons, and start taking some of their classes. You CAN get there from here, but the journey of 24,000 miles begins with a single step.

  3. As speed boat is the wrong type of boat to use to circumnavigate the world as this type cannot carry enough fuel or rations or water, and is not seaworthy enough to withstand the waves it will encounter.

Save your money and live to spend it.

    Regards,

    Dan

  4. 21/2 years

  5. 104.16666 days, sailing non-stop 24 hours a day with no stops or delays! At the Equator.
