The Dust Bowl era ended over 50 years ago.  There is no more soil erosion in the great plains than anywhere else, especially with this years ongoing record rains.

  2. Yes, this is a very worried question, raised some questions in future. Due to deforestation, soil erosion,volcanoes.........etc we lose our fertile land .It can not be measure in figures but definitely it is a big lose.

  3. Erosion in the plains is not the problem it used to be. After the dust bowl, conservationists planted many rows of hedge trees that serve as a wind break, the core of engineers created watershed ponds, farmers created terraces to prevent water erosion, and many farmers are adopting no till planting methods that prevent exposing loose top soil to the wind.
