Question:

How many inches wide would your foot have to be to qualify as an EE in Nike Bauer ice hockey skate sizing?

I used to skate in size 7D Bauer Custom 3000's but the last time I laced them up was about 5 years ago. I've gained 40-50lbs since (dont ask!) and when i tried to wear them again my feet were hurting like h**l. So I went to the store and the salesman recommended me the Bauer One 70 in size 6.5 EE since my foot got fatter. It felt OK at the store, and got it baked. I've skated about 20 ice hours on it and the pain has gotten less from the first day, but my feet still get cramps when i lace them up tight on top (i leave the middle loose) I have a feeling i should have gone with E instead of EE so i dont have to lace them up so tightly to get a snug fit. How do I know if my foot qualifies as an E or EE? Salesman said Bauer runs thinner, thats why he told me to get EE instead of E, but considering I came from a D, whats the deal?

  1. bauer only comes in d and ee as store model. the inbetween width (e) is a pro order only. idk what the width would be for you but my foot its  4" wide and like 9.5 long, i go with an 6ee one75. it just fits width wise and is perfect in length.
