  1. In most typical laparoscopic cholecystectomies - 4. One just beneath the sternum, two below the right rib cage and one in the umbilicus, or belly button. The incisions are all 1/2" except for the belly button which can sometimes be slightly larger up to 1". The incisions are designed for minimal scarring and fade out with time.

  2. 3 to 4 depending on the doctor, i had 4 from my surgery, one right under my belly button, another 9 inches above that, and 2 smaller ones on my right abdominal area, it hurts when you wake up cause you have 4 cuts on you :P

but you lose little blood from this surgery

they leave little scars but 3 arent very noticeable

    hope i helped! goodluck!

  3. 3, sometimes 4. very small incisions. about an inch long, which leaves very little scarring.

  4. i have 3  from mine !!!!

  5. In my case three for the surgery itself and then one for the drain which was left in for the next few days. Then a fifth when I was readmitted with peritonitis a few days later and another drain needed to be inserted.

  6. I had this surgery last Nov. and I have 4 small incisons... 3 of which were about the legnth of your thumbnail and one that was a tad longer(theone under your belly button)..
