  2. it depends on the ball many different brands pride themselves on how many they put and different types of balls like carry, roll, distance have different numbers... but they average around 300 dimples

    A Nike One model in 2007 had 336 dimples, while Nike One Black balls are listed as having 408 dimples.

    I think you're going to find most balls have 300-400 dimples.

  4. The " indents " are called " dimples ". The manufacturer of the ball will vary the number , size and depth depending on the price of the ball and the advertised " selling features ". The numbers range from slightly more than 330 to over 500. In all the years of playing I have yet to find a noticeable difference between balls due to the dimple numbers or designs.
