How many innings have to be play to be considered a real game if it is raining?

The reason i need to know is I have money on the O's to beat the Jays tonight but the Jays just took the lead in the top of the 6th 2-1 and then they brought out the tarps.Please help

I think that if the game were tied at the end of five, or if the sixth was only partially played, that the game is declared a tie.  As such, the game must be replayed another day from the start, but individual records count..

However, the rain delay situation is always tricky. They sometimes finish the game... They sometimes suspend it and finish it weeks later... They sometimes just call it and whatecer the score after 5 was is considered the final score, even if the game has advanced. Its always screwy.

The game was suspended in the sixth with a 2-1 score because the Jays (visiting team) took the lead in the top half of the inning in which the game was suspended.  They will resume prior to the final game of the series Thursday afternoon.

A game is official when 5 innings (4 1/2 if the home team is ahead) are played unless the visiting team scores to tie or take the lead in the top half of the inning in which play is suspended and the home team has not completed its time at bat.  The rule was changed about tie games -- they do not exist anymore.  If a game is official when play is called then it becomes suspended if the score is tied.
