  1. Probably 50 000 or so.  Saddam was our biggest ally in that region and US republicanism couldn't get over the fact that 50 billion $$ in Saddams pocket could've swayed him over to our side and prevented any unnecessary ground war.  Yet we had to go in and overthrow him thinking that an Iranian trained Iraqi playboy (Malikii) would solve the problem in a pro US puppet Iraqi regime.  The Republicans failed yet again and failed to understand Middle Eastern tribal Islamic Theocratic based culture.  Saddam kept the lid on that British colonial created nation with brute force.  Democracy DOES NOT work in the Middle East in Islamic societies.  There were, before the Iraq war, 1 million Christians, thanks to Bush there are now 50 000 Christians.

Now we have a fractured Iraq, which will become pro Iran when and if we pull out.  Russia and China are gaining more influence in this region because they are trading and buying their oil and not using cruise missiles to spread their ideologies, and Iran is on the verge of building a nuclear warhead.  Saddam crushed the Iranians in a bloody war.

The Iraq war was and is a waste, Saddam HATED AL Qeda, he hated  the House of Saud and he ruled over the Shia population with an iron fist.  Ironically we freed the Shia population and they are the ones that are Iranian backed and now killing our troops.  Al Sadr is a Shia militia leader who for some unknown reason was allowed to foment civil war against America yet was never arrested nor shot dead by US or Iraqi troops.  Al Sadr now lives in Iran.

  2. it is not important how many Iraqis killed .

the important thing is that how much we can control oil .

we are powerful no one can make us to pay

we are very very powerful !

  3. You know I'm sick and tired of hearing about how ''evil'' the U.S is and how our troops committed war crimes.

    War is h**l.

    Innocent people will get hurt.

    What aout 9/11??

Wouldnt you say that that was innocent men and women who died for no reason other than some stupid radical Islamic jihad.

You see innocent women and 12 year old kids running around on tv shown by the liberal media.

What you dont see is the women who under her cloak has a bomb strapped to her and blows up our men and women.

Or that 12 year old boy running down the road with a IED and aiming at our brave men and women.

So I think its about time people who know nothing, and think they know everything to shut the **** up.

I for one have had enough of the constant belittling of our great nation and her brave troops.

  4. 600,000 and rising is the offical death count and they are Americans they are immune to war crimes as they are perfect. In fact they are so perfect they mistook fireworks for bombs and air stiked a wedding which killed 100 people

  5. A h**l of a lot less than the cowards that the left call freedom fighters... you know, the insurgents? They routinely kill civilians. Has there been some civilian casualties due to US attacks? Yep, and a relative few, in fact, fewer than any other War...

When will you insist that the true criminals, the insurgents, pay for their war crimes?

    You won't.

Why don't you drop the pretenses, and go fight for the insurgents, the enemy? Go ahead...

  6. Tens of thousands.

No one is ever really penalized for war crimes until they are thoroughly defeated, which we are unlikely to be. Eventually our attention drifts and we just leave. That will leave the matter unresolved, fostering more seething resentment and more difficulties in the future.

Does anyone else see the hypocrisy of the statements some are making here? "Oh, it's nothing compared to..." or "War is h**l and stuff happens". The point is, people, we never had to go into Iraq and kill anyone. We are responsible for an incredible amount of senseless death and destruction.

  7. how many  "innocent"  civilians have their suicide nuts killed ???

  8. That depends on what you think is a war crime. Please look at the website http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_war... and then point to the ones you think the US should pay for. Since it's Wikipedia, if you know of one and it isn't listed please add it then tell us.

  9. Quite a few. But nowhere nearly as many as the terrorists targeted, brutally tortured and murdered. And a bunch of those were far from "innocent," if, by that you mean "totally uninvolved with the enemy."

When a US soldier takes a civilian life he's very often held accountable. The situation is investigated.

Do you remember Margaret Hassoon? She was the C.A.R.E. director in Iraq, and an Iraqi citizen. She never did anything except try to help Iraqis. The sweethearts we are currently fighting captured her, forced her to plead for her life on international television. Ever hear what happened to her? Of course not. It didn't put a negative light on the US. Do you reemember Fallujah? We really put a dent in the enemy there, so it wasn't publicized much. During our mop up of the city, we found Ms. Hassoon's body in the streets of Fallujah. She'd been disemboweled.

Our peace-and-freedom-loving enemy sends dummies wearing explosive jackets into markets. There aren't any military targets there -- just a few merchants trying to make a little living in trying times, and a few shoppers -- not unlike a small US shopping mall. There they blow themselves, and as many innocent civilians as they can, up. But I guess that too is the fault of the US, right? Why else would they do it? First, it's safe -- mothers, children, and merchants seldom defend themselves -- we do. Second, it instills terror -- that's why we call them terrorists. They don't care about peace, just power. They don't care about freedom -- except their own -- to rape and plunder the country as did Hussein.

So why do we kill non-combatants? Our enemy hides behind them. He knows we don't like to shoot in their direction. Why don't we like to shoot in their direction? Because, once a bullet is fired, it's on its own. It doesn't care what or who it hits. If it misses the target we intended, it might bounce around a little and, in the process, hit somebody else.

Also, remember those morons loaded with explosives the enemy sends into market places? They don't wear labels saying, "MORON LOADED WITH EXPLOSIVES." They look exactly like "innocent civilians." I believe that in the Middle East, most of those morons are men. In Vietnam they also used women and children. If you give an approaching threat the benefit of the doubt, you can go home in a box. Sometimes you're wrong. Soldiers are human too.

What "war crimes?" Guys who to "round the bend," and who wantonly take out civilians, are tried and punished.

On the other hand, we have people in the US who are protesting the war. That's their right, correct? Well, let's see. Protesters provide aid and comfort to the enemy. In time of war, isn't that what's called treason? When are we going to try the protesters and nay-sayers for treason? Different sides of the same coin.

  10. Why is this the FIRST war when civilian casualties were supposed to be zero?

    Who made that up?

Saddam threatened us and Israel with WMDs, bragging to his allies he had them and would use them.  Wouldn't let inspectors do their jobs, blocking them and lying to them.

He tried to kill one of our Presidents.

He repeatedly attacked our troops over the no-fly zone for a decade.

He tried to invade one of our allies (Kuwait).

He paid suicide bombers publicly to kill civilians in Israel (another ally).

We waited a decade for the UN to do something about it during the cease fire (peace was never declared).

Goodness sake, enough of this nonsense.

  11. The US kills about 1 civilian for every 1000 that the Iraqis kill.

  12. Well I don't know where people are getting 600,000 from but the number of Iraqi deaths is 86,724 - 94,622.

but not all of these were killed by americans, some were killed by British and other NATO forces. But THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE KILLED ARE FROM SUICIDE BOMBINGS AND GUERRILLA FIRE ON CIVILIANS.

And since when is this meant to be the first war with no civilian casualties in world war 2 hundreds of thousands were killed in bombing attack on London and Berlin and other cities. However Britain was never trialled  for war crimes. In invading Iraq America was bringing down a dictator and protecting Kuwait a British and American ally, and aso Iraq  had been attacking Israel, both side is responsible for deaths, it's the same in any war, that's what a WAR is. So how is it a war crime?

  13. Well lets put it in perspective shall we.

The death toll caused by all the coalition forces pails into insignificance against the numbers of Muslims killed by Muslims!!

Although Al Qaeda founded by Osama bin Laden is a Sunni organization that views Shia Muslims as heretics, they deliberately set Sunni against Shia and vice versa ensuring the mass slaughter of Muslim by Muslim!!!

  14. It is collateral damage. In every war someone innocent dies. Its c**p but such is life.

No one bothers to take an exact count and US did not commit any war crimes.

  15. How many innocent civilians were killed during 9/11?

How many innocent civilans were killed during ww2 because of camps?

    there will always be casualties
