  1. Statistically, it's just about impossible for all of the balls to be pocketed on the break shot in any pool game, 8-ball, 9-ball, or whatever.  With balls constantly kicking each other around the table it's just not going to happen.  Furthermore, you're just not going to get sufficient movement on all of the balls on the table to even move them all to a cushion.  Regardless of how powerful and controlled your break is, it's virtually impossible.  I've seen 7 balls pocketed on a 9-ball break once before but that's about it.  My personal best is six on an 8-ball break, but it's not something that I could ever count on.  M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.

  2. I would give anyone 10,000 to 1 odds on them making all 9 balls on the break, on a normal table. If I could find a few million  takers I would end up a few million ahead.

I've made and seen others make six,  and heard of seven.

  3. Yes.  All.

  4. I've made all the balls on the break a few times! Yeah , ya gotta love playin' 3 ball. LOL , sup cue meisters?

  5. Yes, it is definately possible.  I've seen a video of it on Youtube.  You could probably search for it over there and see it for yourself!

    Good Luck.

  6. Steve who was he playing??

If it was around 71 or 72 in Houston I may rem that game-but it hapens a lot I made 7 and jumped off the table before.and still won the guy was laughing so hard he dogged the 9 from ball in hand off the 8-Aint this a fun game

Yes the vid is fake-Besides who would set up a camera to make that shot come on

Straght has it No way in the world could it be done

8 ball and 9 ball 7 each is bout it if you do more send video

  7. Ive on seen seven on tv

  8. Most I've seen is 6 in nineball. Heard of 7 a few times...unverified.

    Luck

  9. Sure its possible but it would be so rare that Im sure we would have heard about it by now. The most Ive ever done is probably four or five.

  10. The great Buddy Hall told me years ago he broke a rack of 9-Ball, and seven balls found pockets.

The unfortunate part is... the cue ball landed behind the '9' ball and he was unable to hit the other ball. His opponent got ball in hand and won.

    Talk about a cold roll.

My personal best is '5' balls from a 9-ball rack.

To the other poster who saw all 15-balls made from an 8-ball rack on YouTube... I saw that clip. It was doctored to make you believe they were all made on the break.

  11. Okay, who can tell me how they do this? Trickshottim still out there? Looks like a normal rack :)

p.s. Can you guys tell I've discovered YouTube?

p.p.s. Ok, I don't know what a butterfly shot is, that's the name of a trick shot? Yeah, trick shots are kinda cool, but I don't like them because it seems like most of them don't take much actual pool talent, just knowledge in how to set them up, you know? Just what I've seen so far, and I really haven't watched much.
