  1. If you include the neighborhood pizza shop you can be talking about a lot of restaurants.  I wouldn't even begin to guess.

  2. There are serveral.  Of the ones I know Maccaronni Grill, The Olive Garden, Tutto Pasta, Bella Italia, The Big Cheese, Archie's, Mario's Pizza.  There sure is a lot more.  Go to Yahoo Yellow Pages, then restaurants, and go to Italian food.

  3. This is a good question, but hard to answer because their are so many variables. There is fine dining, Northern Italian, Southern Italian, pizza parlors, casual dining restaurants that serve pizza and pasta, etc..... Some people consider fast food places restaurants while, others, never would.

I own a fine dining Northern Italian restaurant. We have a talented Chef, beautiful ambience and stellar service. We make everything fresh - even our pasta - nothing comes pre-made. This is what I consider to be a restaurant.

Most corporate restaurants, chains, and fast food places have "food handlers" rather than dedicated and passionate restaurant professionals. They take a frozen or packaged product, deep fry it, and add canned sauce. This is not being a restaurateur. This is why your question seems simple, but is not.  But, thanks for asking!

  4. oh god lol im gonna take a wild guess for about maybe 200,000 to 300,00? Somewhere in the thousands

If you count Pizzerias I have about 10 Italian restaurants  in my town

    :D
