If you're going by marketing standards (ie advertisers), then 1000000 KB = 1 GB.

However, if you're going by base 2 notation (as with technology engineers, then 1048576 KB = 1 GB. Note that sometimes in this notation, it is referred to Kibibytes (KiB) and Gibibytes (GiB)
