  1. like 4 to 6 would be good.

  2. well it depends what license you have and how many toddlers you take care of. maximum is 14

    or 8

  3. probably 10

  4. 1) In centers licensed for thirteen or more children, the licensee shall conduct group activities within the following group size and staff-to-child ratio requirements, according to the age of the children:

AGE OF CHILDREN  STAFF CHILD RATIO  MAXIMUM GROUP SIZE

    1 mo. through 11 mos. (infant)  1:4  8

    12 mos. through 29 mos. (toddler)  1:7  14

    30 mos. through 5 years(preschooler)  1:10  20

    5 years and older(school-age child)  1:15  30

There is more information on the site provided but this is a start for you.

  5. Each day care is different. If you have a large home and a helper you can have more children than if you live in a 2 bedroom and it's just you. Check with your local Division of Family Services and have them hook you up with information. Good luck and thank you for wanting to provide such a valuable service. Nana

  6. it depends on what state you are in and your ratio to children. the ratio changes depending on the ages of the children.

  7. As many as you want as long as you have the correct adult to child ratio. I think you need one adult for every three children, so if it is just you doing it then you can have anywhere from three to five kids, i'm not sure about the which state your in but where I live [maine] there has to be an adult for every three kids.

  8. It depends on how big your house is so I can't really help you. Just take as many kids as you think will be comfortable.

  9. If your by yourself 10 i think thats all you can have

  10. Depends on the state and city.

  11. The 8 means total children, so 1:4 ratio with a capacity of 8 total children.  1 adult to 4 children, with a top capacity of 8 altogether.  So, in order to have a 1:4 ratio with 8 children, you'd need two adults for the 8 kids.

Typically, if you have a licensed care, you have to register for small home care or medium capacity, depending on the number of children you intend to have and how many adults you have.  If your state says that you aren't allowed to have more than 8 children in a home care, that is all you are allowed to have on any one day in your home.  Look up your state's website, and you will be able to find it under Community Care Licensing or Social Services, or Human Services Department.

  12. Check out your staff ratio from here... (see page 3 for WI state)

  13. it depends. once you go so high you need a liscence. You have to check with the state

  14. It depends on your location.

  15. depends on how big your house is. my neighbour lives in a bungalow but its a fair size and her has 3 kids with one coming and has a daycare in her house with 10 kids

  16. Depends on your location and whether or not you are state licensed. I believe in most states its around 6 (not related to you). In Missouri, you can have the 6 not related to you and any that are related to you do not count in your numbers.
