How many kids should I have?

I was wondering what is the best amount of kids to have?

Two girls, and Two boys (preferably boy, girl, boy, girl.) this way they all are protected by an older brother, and the have a sibling of the same gender to play with.

Well I have three and they entertain eachother for the most part, playing out in the yard, the oldest can help out a little with the youngest. It's absolutly great. The first child is always lonley and mom runs herself to death trying to entertain them but with siblings you have live in friends most of the time when they are not trying to rip eachothers heads off, lol. And it depends on your income, you don't wanna bring in too many kids and bringing in enough money to feed and cloth them. It's up to you. But I'm very glad I had three!!!

What you can afford. Why are you trying to put a number on it? You have kids because you want them and can afford them. There is no "best amount" here.

I love 3 kids not to many and their all close in age. They all play with each other. One kid is to spoiled, two kids have each other but when they fight theyll both want your attention but 3 kids play together better. If two of them fight they have the other to play with... LOL good luck I love having 3 mine are 5, 6, 7

Depends, are you Catholic?  Because from what I understand they don't put a limit on it.  Truthfully, when I was deciding this I figured one would be perfect.  Cuts down the costs and I get to spoil him.  Plus, once you go through the first six weeks of no sleep you're probably not going to want hubby to touch you for a long time.  But most say 2 or 3.  It's a personal choice, there's no ideal.  I say go by what you make, how much room you have, how much money you have saved up and how patient you are.  Because I will tell you this, you will need patience.  Especially if you have three kids hit their teens simultaneously.  One is plenty on that front, I've already been down that road once, not looking forward to the second time around.  In that I mean my brother, I raised him all through his teen years and he was a nightmare.  I imagine that they are all like that at some point though.
