When we were in school, William Cooper owned a metalic green Schwinn bicycle.  He later became a mail carrier for the U.S. Post Office, and hired an attorney to change his name to Liam O'Cooper to distance himself from the radio showman who broadcast fanciful tales about aliens wanting a treaty with Earth.  He retired from the post office and moved to County Wexford where he died in his sleep in 1998.
