How many lengths should a Billiards/Snooker table run ?

We have a table where a 10 month old 30 oz felt became stretched and was refitted with the same cloth. The table runs like mad. The room is air conditioned, without the heater the table runs 4 1/2 lengths, with the heater it runs 5 1/2 lengths. How many lengths should a 12 ft billiards /snooker table run ?

This is a honest question, unfortunately it has no real answer.  Everybody has a different natural stroke speed as well as a different maximum stroke speed.  I have a test to find out how fast or slow a table is playing at any particular time, but it's the kind of thing that I only show my students.  Sorry to be so secretive, but you understand, I can't just give away all my instructional tips.  Best of luck.  M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.
