How many letters can one send a recruit in Marine Boot Camp?

As much as one can? And how long does a letter take to arrive and how often is it "distributed" by the Drill Instructors? Shank you.

  1. In my opinion you should keep the letters while a Marine Recruit is in boot camp to one a week. Keep in mind time it takes to be sent and time to deliver. Keep it one a week.


  2. You can send as many letters as you can write. Letters take 3-4 days to arrive (and the recruits letter will take 3-4 days to get back to you). Mail is distributed every day and the recruits do not do push ups, or any sort of IT in order to receive their mail. Make sure you send it in a plain, white envelope with the recruits address and your return address in plain, black ink.
