i my self used to work for wal-mart...they are good company if u willing to stay with them for awhile...managers make good money..but they employee get pay really low...they only allow employees 40hrs aweek

I know several people who work at our local Walmart and have asked them about working conditions there. There are many mixed feelings among the employees.  Some say that when Sam Walton was alive he took pretty good care of all his employees;however, now there is a very heavy turnover at all the stores.  Management is cutting hours in order to cut salaries.  The new super stores do not have the same quality of merchandise they used to have at the regular stores and the employees have to listen to all customer complaints even though there is nothing they can do.  The ones I have spoke with are not satisfied with their jobs and the ones that have been there a long time never get promotions like in the past.  Some have to stay in order to make a living but there are people leaving on a daily basis.  They rehire but even those people don't stay long.
