How many liquids can you take on an airplane when you check the bag?

and do they need to be in plastic bags

  1. you can take as many 3 oz or less bottles as long as they fit into one quart sized bag. if you use all 3oz it ends up being like 4-5 bottles


  2. There are no limits to liquids in checked baggage (subject to ordinary weight, dangerous goods and other restrictions).  The restrictions on bottle size and plastic bags and the rest of the folderol relate to carry on luggage.

  3. depends on which country u r boarding from (this would also include any stopover countries).  generally upto 100 ml per bottle  is allowed and all such bottles need to fit in a transparent bag that is around 8 inches by 10 inches.  exceptions are when you are traveling with babies, prescription medicines or other specific conditions
