  1. Two.  You could survive on less and more could be helpful, especially if you are losing weight or doing strenuous activities, but two liters is enough.


  2. the recommended amount is about 8 "12oz" servings a day, but really it varies. whenever you feel thirsty, its your body telling you that its already dehydrating. so listen to your body.

  4. OK a liter is 33.6 ounces and a quart (quarter gallon) is 32 ounces.

    Now they have always said you need 8 glasses of water a day. A glass is 8 ounces and 8 would be 64 ounces. This would be equivalent to 2 liters. However that is a basic amount and not actually that accurate at all.

    In the US our measurements for proper hydration is to have 1 ounce for every 2 pounds of body weight plus 8 more ounces for every 20 minutes of exercise. Now I don't know if you normally use kilograms for weight or not and I don't have a conversion chart at hand anyhow so that is the best I can do for you at the moment.
