  1. That's a strange request: I'd expect at 30mph, the car should at least average 60mpg, so 20 miles would use around a third of a gallon, or 1.5 litres.

  2. ?

do you mean how much fuel would you use to travel 20 miles at 30 miles an hour in a 1.6 Astra.

the answer is not a lot...... I'd guess around 2/3 of a gallon.. thats .667 * 4.54 (No of litres per gallon) or 3 litres

    but it varies....

it depends on what your cars fuel consumption is (I've guessed at 30mpg)

it depends on whether car is well maintained / serviced

whether the cars typres are at correct pressure

whether you are a gentle or agressive driver

whether the journey is in a car that is already started and at operating temperature (in which case the consumption will be better), or starting from cold in which case the consumption will be worse. in my car the trip computer displays the range... starting the car knocks 5..15 miles of the range.. indicating that at start up it uses significantly more fuel than just running

  3. Not a lot!  At 30mph, you should be barely drinking fuel. Why are you driving so slowly?  If this is an urban trip across a big city, you will waste a lot of fuel stopping at lights and junctions.

If it is a SLOW trip of 20 miles on a straight road, no interruptions, you may be amazed at how economical the car is!  Maybe 60mpg, you will want to be in 4th gear or maybe 5th, with just a puff of throttle.
