  1. Incandescent lamps produce approximately 15 lumens per watt.

Compact Fluorescent lamps produce approximately 50 lumens per watt.

Halogen lamps are a variation on incandescent lamps and may be inefficient at approximately 12 lumens per watt.  Better replacement units may produce 20-22 lumens per watt.

Halogens produce better color correction (closer to natural light) but also produce much higher temperatures, making them more susceptible to fires.

  2. You didn't specify a specific halogen bulb so I will give a couple examples...

a 50 watt 120 volt halogena energy advantage bulb is 1100 lumens.  http://www.vosslighting.com/storefrontB2...

    there are also reflectors:

    50par20 120 volt has 520 lumens

    50par20 130 volt has 420 lumens

    50par30 120 volt roughly 610 lumens

You can also buy a 50 watt halogen reflector with the new infrared coating and these are:

    50par30 and par38s irc 120 volt 970 lumens

  3. Are you talking about for household application? I have 2 60 watts sitting here, from two different manufacturers. One says 800 lumens and the other says 950 lumens. These are of the spiral type made to replace the traditional household incandescent.

    Hope that helps.
