How many major events are there in the PGA???

4 majors It starts with Masters in april than US Open in June than British Open in July and PGA Championship in August

in the pga  one , major the pga championship , the british open , rga , the us open usga , the masters unofficial pga tour event , by invitation only , winnings do count us money order . all four are the majors , i dont have a clue what the pga woild consider there major championships pga , would be one , platers tournament another , tour chamoinship is the year ending event , with limited field ,  those would be 3 weather or not players , pga have another doubtful , possibly due to history byron nelson , memorial , or colonial , arnies tournament . if ther is a fourth i think it would be the memorial as the fourty choice ,. strange answer but is correct thank you good luck number tiger wins he should be lock for masters , british , pga , if not us open top three . the way he is this year . all four is possible , if not this tear , wait till next year when swing chances are habit .

The PGA has only one Major which is The PGA. Other majors played by tour players and amateurs alike are The Masters, a private tournament, The US Open, which has a field of pros and amateurs and is run by the USGA, and the British Open, which is like the US Open but run by the R&A. I know I will get thumbs down, but your question asks about the PGA which stands for Professional Golfers of America. Only a player who is a member of the PGA can play in their one major, which includes some club pros that qualify. The Foreign players like Singh and Els can play because they are members of the PGA. Tiger will win three of the four Majors this year.

There are four "major" championships.  The Masters, the US Open, the Open Championship, and the PGA.  I think Tiger will win two for sure, maybe three of the four this year.

The guy above me is right. Sometimes they count the US and British Am. as a major, that is why you will see some sites say Niklaus has 20. I do think Tiger will win at least 2 majors. I don't think they should bother playing the masters. They should just send him another jacket and move on.
