Depends upon the definition of a mall.

Shopping Centres (100+ stores):

Rideau Centre

Place D'Orleans

Bayshore

St. Laurent

Carlingwood  (small shopping centre, around 75 stores)

Billings Bridge (small shopping centre, around 75)

Strip malls and small shopping centres (under 75 stores):

Merivale Mall

Westgate Mall

Gloucester Center

Heron Gate

College Square

Sparks Street Mall

Licoln Fields Plaza

Pinecrest Mall (where Ikea is)

Hazeldean Mall

Kanata Centrum

South Keys

Riverside Mall

Ottawa Trainyards

This is by no means a complete list! I would say there are

4 majors shopping centres (Rideau Centre, Place D'Orleans

Bayshore, St. Laurent), plus Carlingwood and Billings Bridge Plaza

A handful (5 or 6) big box strip malls (South Keys, Kanata Centrum, Trainyards, Pinecrest, etc)

Countless strip malls, larger and small

Probably about 10 "walking malls" (malls that are not really for shopping other than their grocery store and drug store)...

All in all, I would put the number at around 50 total "malls", but it depends upon what you define as a mall.

St.Laurent, Rideau, Bayshore are the major malls

Carling Mall, West Gate Mall, HeronGate Mall, The Train Yards are a few of the many strip malls.

I live within 1/2 hour from about 3-4:

The Rideau Centre (Major mall)

Merivale Mall

Westgate Mall

Carlingwood Mall

and then there's..

Place D'Orleans (huge)

Gloucester Center

Heron Gate

College Square

The Sparks Street Mall - (A whole closed, street mall open year-round)
