  1. First off, in order for a female plant to produce seeds you'l need pollen(provided via male) or in some cases the plant may be a hermaphrodite (spelling?) in which it will self pollinate itself (but this is not an ideal situation at all)

When you germinate the seed and veg it out, its nearly impossible to tell if the plant is male or female, that is, until you begin to flower it(changing the light cycle to 12/12 light/dark) then after a short period of time you should be able to see if it is a male(pollen sacks) or female(hairs).

Your best bet is to find more seed or clones and veg and flower them out at the same time..that will increase your chances of getting a male and female to play with.

  2. hopefully none if you are lucky. that is why you separate the males from the group of plants you are growing.  the males will inseminate the females and make them have seeds, which will mean less bud for you.  the male plants make the seeds. you can make clones of the females if you need more plants, but making the females have seeds is a bad idea.

  3. yes one seed can turn into alot more...female do produce less seeds than males. males are usually full of seeds. but im not sure on average what females produce. but if your female plant is too close to your male plant it will get lots of seeds then to. its best to raise each plant seperate until you know males from females. you will produce new seeds definately...just not sure how much since it varies and depends on certain things

  4. A female plant won't produce seeds unless it's pollinated by a male plant. Unless you have two plants and they're oppositely sexed, I wouldn't count on getting more seeds. Also, if you got the seed out of the bottom of your last sack or something, it's probably not worth the time it would take to grow, harvest and cure the buds.

If you really want to grow it and do end up with a female plant, your best bet is clipping clones from it. They'll have the exact same genetics as the mother plant (all will be female and whatever strain you have, and will exhibit the same qualities in the high, taste, smell, etc.), but you will end up with more plants, which I'd guess is your goal.
