  1. depends upon the size of the embassy and the threat level of the area.


  2. Years ago when I was a MSG in Morocco, we had five Marines. One NCOIC, four watch standers.

    As another Answer stated, it does depend on the size of the embassy, such as London and Paris. Then there is of course the geographical location of the embassy in regards to possible terrorists' threats.

    You future Marines, if you get a chance for this duty, take  it. It was the greatest time in my life for so many reasons.

  3. That information is, understandably, not a matter for public scrutiny.  Even if you thought you knew the answer, additional special teams rotate in and out, and backup teams are immediately available as needed.
