  1. It used to be 85% when I was at school, but I think it varies for each subject and they change the boundaries to suit the number of results each year anyway.

    PE is generally 85% though.

  2. not heard of IGCSE's but I know an A* with normal GCSEs depends entirly on  every person who sat the exam. If EVERYONE found it hard, and did badly, then the boundries are lower. If people found it really easy, you might need something as high as 97% for an A*

  3. A lot of people do not know that IGCSEs exist, as in the UK they are only offered by some independent schools and also home-educated students take them.

It does vary for each subject and for each exam sittings, so you will need to look at the  examiners' reports for your subject on either Cambridge or Edexcel International's websites.  See:

    http://www.edexcel-international.org/qua...

    and

    http://www.cie.org.uk/qualifications/aca...

For Cambridge board, you might find them listed under the mark scheme for each subject.

  4. for the Ordinary level subjects, an A* is 85% to 100%,

for advanced Supplementry and Advanced levels 80% to 100% would score the highest which is an A, theres no A* in AS or A levels.

good luck, trust me its easy to get an A*, i ve been there!

  5. different for each subject:

hope this helps =)   (b.t.w, this is iGCSE)
