  2. The "Thomas W. Lawson" was a seven masted steel schoonerbuilt by the Fore River Ship & Engine Building Co., Quincy, MA, in 1902. She was 369 feet long and carried 25 sails in all.  She's no longer around...

The "Royal Clipper" has five masts.  She's 439 feet long with a beam of 54 feet.

Another five master now afloat is the "Wind Surf".  She's 535 ft long and has a 66ft beam.

The biggest "tall ship" is the Russian ship "Sedov".  It is 387 ft long and has a 48 ft beam.  She has FOUR masts.

The "Royal Clipper" and the "Wind Surf" are newer cruise vessels.  The "Sedov" is a training ship built in 1920 and is regarded as a true "tall ship".
