How many mature trees are on your property?

We have 5, 3 35 foot evergreens, 1 30 foot female holly, and 1 20 foot maple...we used to have more, but the previous owner had to cut them down due to disease.

Our neighbor has about 30.....

both of our houses are former farmhouses, in an area where trees were planted around the house to make them warmer in winter, and cooler in summer.

Good question.  We have 30 mature trees, and a few younger ones.  30 trees does not seem like that many to me, since I grew up in the Pacific Northwest.

I now however live in the high mountain desert area of Idaho.  Each mature tree on our farm is because of care, and being supplied water.  Otherwise there would be no trees here...only sage brush, and prickly pear cactus.

Trees are a precious item here....but so is water.  So you have to find a decent balance between some trees for shade, wind & snow breaks, feeding the wildlife, and overdoing it, and becoming a water hog.

My Mom just had 5 thousand trees planted on her farm in Washington.  However there, the danger is the seedlings will get too much water (via rain) and drown.  Of course she also has a LOT of mature trees on her farm.  You see Bald Eagles and Barn Owls in them all the time.

i own hundered of acres with trees on them and we cut logs every year

Most of them are very mature, but they can get kinda nutty sometimes.

14 or 15, same as on almost every lot in this rural subdivision.

I couldn't count them all. I live on 12 acres and most is wooded. I could guess at a few thousand.

8 on the sunny side down, 4 in the rear, trying to figure where/how to put 6 more on the sunny side up..

then 4 more in the front..
