You are actually trailing china by at least 20 golds

USA- 26golds

China- 44golds

And you can't say china are cheating because in Atlanta 1996 USA got a total of 44 golds.

We could and should get golds from the men's and women's beach volley ball teams as well as basketball.

We should get some kind of medals from some of the track and field folks - Lagat qualified for the 5K and he's from Kenya originally so he's a favorite.  Our softball and baseball teams are still in it and should medal - Bball, maybe a gold -  especially if we keep knocking over the opponents.  lol  US is still in it for 5 man volleyball as well. Wilkinson is still in it for diving, but not a favorite.  Men's and women's water polo teams are both in the medal rounds - women playing for gold.

The equestrian jumping finals are Thursday for individuals - USA could very well take the gold.  They should at least medal, and could take more than one.

Rami - the guy who broke his neck 4 years ago -  might get a gold in sprint kayaking.

How about BMX? lol

But I'm rooting for the Irish in boxing.  :)

I'm thinking 6 golds from the above sports mentioned is very possible, and a few other medals as well.  Other sports that we're still in - I have no clue. lol

Not many I reckon. USA can only do well in swimming , basketball, track field and the rest they can hardly compete with other countries.With China competing and excelling in most of the games, I think USA will most likely end up second, if not the third, if UK can catch up with the gold medals.

Do we include the ones where they cheated? Oops sorry that was China that did all the cheating. I havent seen any cheating myself but reading through all the threads here they must have because they are beating Uncle Sam. Can you believe that?

EDIT: but not gold and that's what counts.
