In an emergency situation, as one turns out on a runway, how long can it take you to be in flight and climbing at 245 m/s?

  1. Watch "Iron Eagle"

  2. The typical figures for the F-16 take off run is 762 meters (2500 feet) with maximum take of weight with zero wind conditions. This would vary if the weight or the winds change.

With just two Sidewinders the F-16 can take off in 460 meters (1500 feet) and reach Mach 1.75 in two minutes.

  3. what you need is help from steam catapults, such as on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier.

  4. Try this website, http://www.f-16.net/varia_article11.html

It'd dedicated to the F-16 and pilots seem to write there. If anyone knows they will.

They have forums there where you will probably get an answer.

    Good luck..:-)
