  1. There would be one, of the density of the material equals 1.  You are comparing mass versus volume, and therefore need density to do the conversion.


  2. I don't see how you could calculate this without the molecular weight of the substance, ie the g/mol. The concentration of the substance is giving in nanomolar, so you would need to figure out how many moles of the substance is in 5 micrograms. The equation I would use for calculating this is:

    5*10^-6 g x 1mol/???g x 1L / 2.2*10^-9mol x 10^6uL/L = #uL in 5ug

    note: 1 g = 1*10^6 ug and 1 mol = 10^9nmol
