  1. I'm attaching a study that rates different companies that support them.  It looks like the ratio is more like 8k to 10k servers per data center.  You can add the numbers up in this survey to get a fairly good proxy figure.

  2. A general rule of thumb would be to multiply the number of servers by 3.625 to get the mean of mid-tier data centers. Hope this helps.
