How many miles can one travel in sea kayakas per day?

I am thinking of doing a trip from Kings lyne to Merse. . it's around 166 miles..

20 is a full day's paddle.

In 5 1/2 hours I covered about 10-12 miles, I am not experienced but surf a lot and I'm in good shape. I was pretty tired and soar after but I didn't really pace myself either. If I had a longer more narrow kayak I probably could have covered more distance. Are you loading it down with lots of gear? Might slow you down quite a bit. Also are you going with or against any currents and/or wind. This is really important as well. I was against the wind but with the current.
