  1. Not sure if you are asking miles per gallon or how long the engine will last before needing major maintenance. I am going to go with the second one.

    Regardless of the vehicle, if you take care of the car you are more then likely to get well over 100k miles out of the engine before it needs major work. That means to change the oil every 2k miles or 3 months (check owners manual), keep the air and gas filters changed regularly, and generally just drive the car like you want to keep it not like a rental.

    Funny thing is that cars are about the only engine that is measured in miles and not time that the engine was running. I say that because if you drive in the city you may spend more time stopped with the engine running then someone who drives long distances. They could have more miles but less time on the engine they someone who only drives around town.
