  1. Check out Avon Storms, they are well grippy and should give you around 3500 miles

  2. it really depends on your type of riding my friend, in general, i replace my rear tires at 10,000 miles and fronts at 16,000.

  3. If you're in the UK, then they're tyres!

They'll usually shred or square off before they lose tread - don't expect more than 4,000 miles out of sports compound tyres with hard riding, perhaps up to 8,000 if you're careful

  4. Depends on how soft a compound  you have on the bike and what style of riding you have. If your into  high speed- getting your knee down - seriously bending the speed limits then  ive heard of people replacing tyres at 1500- 2000 miles. But if your bike isnt set up well or your riding is  very agressive then  that will shorten the life span.

The harder the cpound the longer they will last

  5. the rear bridgestone 014 on my cbr 600 rr will last 2.5k -- 3k miles but it will depend on how you ride, where you ride, when you ride,

  6. All the answers are good but you will get 1000s of miles  from the front one if you wheelie it everywhere!

  7. I have had tires last anywhere from 3000-5000 miles.  I like Michelin's the best and have just over 2000 miles on a set of power 2ct and they still look to be in very good shape, which they should.  I am hoping that they last for close to 5000 miles with the harder compound down the center but only time will tell.  I also replace my tires as a set only but many others do them one at a time.  For me it's just easier to nock them off and put them back on at the same time.

  8. that chriss all bepends on the tyre compound and how you ride it....soft compound tyres will last a lot,lot less than a harder compound one.....

1mm is the legal limit for the bike,1.6 for a car...

  9. I know people who make tyres last 8,000 and people who can shag a set in 500. It all depends what you have and how you ride. If you ride like Rossi then you need Pilot sport or something similar. If you cruise around more then you need a more touring type of tyre. Go for a dual compound, harder in the middle and softer on the edge.
