  1. What kind of airplane and what kind of car? There are sports cars that are faster than many planes, but on the other hand there are many planes faster than a Chevy Chevette.

  2. Depends on your thought of an airplane. The wright bros flew their "airplane" for only a few seconds and that was going about how fast you could run. On the other hand many airliners can go up to 250 KNOTS under 10,000 ft. Knots can be converted to mph in google. They can go up to 300-600 knots top speed without overstressing and ripping the wings and everything apart depending on the airplane. Also you got your Fighters. Those can go faster then the speed of sound up to 3 times that. Then you got the single engine airplanes which can vary from 40-300 knots without stalling (falling out of the sky) once again depending on the airplane.

  3. thousands.

wen i was in a plane it wen 3900 m

    dang.

  4. your arage car goes max 130mph on avrage 70 a big plane goes 560mph

  5. The average speed for a car is about 65 MPH. The big jumbo jets, from a range of about 150 MPH to 230 MPH at takeoff speed, about 450 MPH to 550 MPH at cruise speed, and around 100 MPH to 150 MPH at landing speed. Regional jets (the smaller commercial aircraft with the engines on the back), have a range of about 100 MPH to 150 MPH at takeoff speed, about 275 MPH to 350 MPH at cruise speed, and about 85 MPH to 115 MPH at landing speed. Private jets have a range of about 85 MPH to 100 MPH at takeoff speed, about 130 MPH to 175 MPH at cruise speed, and about 75 MPH to 90 MPH at landing speed. Small, single engine, propeller planes have a takeoff speed of about 65 MPH to 80 MPH, about 100 MPH to 125 MPH at cruise speed, and about 60 MPH to 75 MPH at landing speeds.

  6. It's not the speed so much as the route.  Plane goes straight.  The car has to follow the roads stop at the stop signs, etc

  7. depends on the plane really.  The avg small plane does less than 200 MPH, the average jumbo jet cruises at around 650,  A fighter or pursuit can do over 1500 MPH and there are spy planes that are even faster.

Just remember speed isnt the only advantage to a plane.  they dont have roads or stop signs.

  8. The SR-71 Blackbird is one of the fastest plane in the world, flies at 3 times the speed of sound (over 2,100 mph), the X-15 is a rocket plane that flies twice as fast. You can never beat them 'cos they're 10/20 times faster than any fast car in the world, even when they're just cruising.

  9. It depends on a lot of variables, but jet airliners generally are about ten times faster than cars.

  10. hundred to thousand of miles faster than a car

  11. it depends on wat kind of air plane and the weather

we own a lil personal  airplane just a lil 1 but its been up to around 200
