I'm on my junior high school's cross country and track team. I usually go running 3 times a week, 2 miles. But then I heard a kid who's going to be a freshman next year and the coach asked him how many miles he ran a DAY. The kid said about 3. And the coach told him to start running 5 or 6 miles a day or else he will be the slowest one on the team.By the way I'm a 13 year old girl. How many miles do you think I should run a day? I'm pretty sure I could handle it. Thanks!

I run 5 miles a day, but when I ran crosscountry in high school i'd put in about 10-15 miles a day, but I was young, and in shape to. just build your way up.
