I just purchased a used 2004 Arctic Cat z570 yesterday and i was wondering how many miles to a gallon it should get. The gas gauge is broken so i do not know how to tell how much is left. Thanks in advance for your answers.

  1. Riding on trails you should get about 12 miles per gallon, though in deep snow you will get a lot less, possibly 6.

  2. Every snowmobile is different in gas mileage.  I would highly suggest picking up another gas gauge for it.

  3. go to shadetree.com or denniskirk.com and order a fuel tank gage that is some what correct with reading the fuel amount

  4. I have only checked once, but my 2002 yamaha viper got anaverage of 6.6mpg. There are many factors when calculating fuel mileage such as riding style (slow or wfo) I ride pretty hard, snow conditions, fuel quality (87 octane to 93 octane), your machines overall condition, and rider weight will all make a difference.
