How many miles/week do you commute?

Question

How many miles/wk do you commute? Do your neighbors have similar-length commutes? And if you don't mind my asking, what State or country do you live in? [I'm just wondering if there's a difference between states all in all].

We live in PA. I'm self-employed and do little driving for it. We're 10 miles from my husband's work so he drives 100-120 miles/wk--jhis collegues collectively probably average about 100 mi/wk too.

156 mi per week to work. depending on what vehicle I drive to work, one takes a gallon one way where as the other gets three times the mileage. but sense they have made it mandatory for ethanol to be put in fuel now my mileage has dropped by two to three mile per gallon. here in MO

i drive 3 miles to work one way.  another guy i work with walks 0.5 miles to work, and another drives 70 miles one way.  Most people start out living near their workplace, but then their family gets settled in and they lose their job and have to find a new one, which isn't always nearby.

170 for me here in MO.  I live 17 miles one way, or 34 total.  I can stop by walmart, post office, or grocery store on the way home easy so no extra miles there at all. If I did no extra running around, I would need only  170X 4 = 680/21 mpg or 32.4 gallons a month.....not bad
