I know you've probably got a very good reason for it, but why start at Tottenham Court road?

If you're coming into london by tube, Cut off the whole length of Tott.Ct Rd by getting off at Warren Street, or Euston.

Or go the whole hog and go to camden Town for a srart..

Having tramped back through N London many times as a student, I would guess it's about 2 miles!  But take care if you're walking there late at night- even in my day it could be problematic, and now it's probably worse!

I used to live in Chalk Farm and often we walked home from a night out in town.

The stretch between Tottenham Court Road tube and Camden Town is just over half an hour's walk, which makes it about a mile-and-three-quarters at my pace.

It's pretty busy (particularly the bit between Warren Street and Mornington Crescent tubes) but it's easy enough to do.

Late at night, or during rush hours if the traffic's really bad, you also get the pleasure of beating the bus back.

Not sure how many miles it is. But if your walking I'd say it would take about 40 minutes at an average pace

I'd say it'd take about 50 minutes, Tottenham Court Road to Kings Cross is about 20 mins then from there its about 30 mins past Mornington Crescent.  Good exercise though!

You can pick up the 29 or the 24 buses to get to Camden, if you must walk follow their routes they go straight there

Right well it is 1.7 miles.

but it would be simpler and quicker to get on the tube from tottenham court road, get on the norther line northbound and go to Camden town! The pub is right next to Camden Town underground. It is the 5th stop! you will go through, Goodge Street, Warren Street, Euston, Mornington Crecent and then you will arrive at Camden Town. This will take 15min and trains come every 4 min.

If you dislike the underground because of terror threats then walking it is but please dont let that put you off of using the underground, the chances of there being an attack on the tube soon is very very very slim! and if there was one there would be a very low risk that it would be your train, due to the sheer amount. You would probably have more chance getting lost by walking!
