  1. if your 3 week old kitten is anything like my 7 week old malnourished kittens from a few weeks ago, between 6-8.  More if the kitten wants it, but best not to overfeed.

  2. Vets aren't free if you live in the USA.  I just had a litter of pups a week ago and I am supplementally feeding the runt.  Since you don't have a scale...I went and got the formula.  Use powdered, as the liquid stuff goes bad quickly.

feed puppies 2 TBS (30 mL) of liquid Esbilac per 4 oz of body weight.  The daily feeding amound should be dividid into equal portions for each feeding.

Now, as a dog breeder, I start my pups on mash around 3-4 weeks of age.  If it's up an moving around quite well, take a can of cat food and mix it with just as much water.  Mash it around.  Mash the kitten's head in it (not cruel).  Get enough on it's snout so it has to l**k it off.  Slowly it will learn to eat on it's own.  It takes time, but it's easier than bottle feeding.

  3. Take her to the vet - thats the best thing.  My vet has 'free nurse' days (UK).  Call yours and ask them.  Im taking my female cat down today to be weighed so I know how much worming stuff to dose her with.

Take her to the vet - its free - dont be lazy.

  4. i have never heard of a bottle fed kitten bursting from overfeeding. when full, they sleep.

mom does not control how much they drink, she usually takes a nap while they nurse and lets them drink as much as they want.
