  1. six-sevenths.  Six of the seven letters match.

  2. It's a sticky question.  For a long time, an American billion was 1000 million, and a British billion was a million million.  But i'm starting to hear more an more British use the American usage in radio, since many radio programs are also distributed over the internet.

I suppose the idea is that Americans are too stupid to change.  And we are.

  3. One thousand millions are in a billion.

    1,000,000 X 1,000 = 1,000,000,000

You just add the zeros of the two numbers to get the product.

So six zeros plus three zeros equals nine zeros which is equal to one billion

  4. one thousand

  5. In the US, 1000.  In Britain, a million.

  6. it goes...999 million, then 1 billion..so 100 million, million dollars equils 1 billion!

  7. If you had some boxes with a million dollars in each box, you would need one thousand of those boxes to have a total of a billion dollars. So, there are one thousand "millions" in one "billion".

Also, they'd have to be some pretty big boxes [large suitcase size]  and you'd need a rather large building to a thoousand of them inside, like an aircraft hangar or warehouse.

  8. 1,000,000 x 1,000 = 1,000,000,000

    wow...

  9. million

  10. 1 thousand
