I've heard you're supposed to drink 64oz of water a day.

How much is that in mills? (ml)

  1. Well 1 liter is 33.8 ounces. 64 ounces will be just under 2 full liters.

  2. it's around 2,000

  3. Guidelines are constantly changing. In 2004, the Institute of Medicine effectively overruled the 8 glass a day rule - with a new report. They stated a general daily recommendation of 2.7 liters (91 ounces) of total water for women and 3.7 liters (125 ounces) for men. This includes water from all sources (foods and drinks).

  4. It's about 2000, as the above answerer says.  And it's not 64oz of water.  You're supposed to get 64oz of FLUID per day, and at least 48oz of that should be water.  You have to consider other things you may drink, such as milk, juice (even pop!), and also the water content in your foods.

It IS possible to drink too much water, causing your kidneys to overwork themselves.  A good rule of thumb: drink when you're thirsty.  Your body is telling you it needs liquid, and you should listen to it.
