How many minutes a day should I start jogging?

Not miles, but minutes. I currently do not jog at all. I know this sounds bad, but the longest i can jog until I am out of breath is 2 minutes. I start getting tired after 7 to 10 minutes. I am not really an athlete, but I am not a couch potato. Somewhere in between. So my question is, how many minutes should I start jogging for the first time? I NEED to get in shape. I eat healthy, but do not exercise at all. How many would be a good starter for jogging?

  1. Something that will help you is interval training. What you do is jog for those 2 minutes and then walk for 1 or 2 minutes to rest. Then start jogging for 2 minutes again. Then walk for 1 or 2 minutes. Just do it as long as you can each day. Everyones body works differently. Also, don't get discouraged, you're getting healthier and will look and feel better the more you do it! I know it can be frustrating when you feel like you can't exercise as much as you'd like. You just have to stick with it

If you do the interval training I promise you that you will see results and eventually be able to jog for longer periods of time. Also you may want to try lower impact exercises like bicycling or swimming. They are GREAT!

  2. That's fine:D

the important thing is that you want to change those facts.

I would say start out jogging for 15 minutes one week, then add on 5 minutes every week until you reach 30 minutes.

and remember, if you tell yourself you cant do it, you cant do it, and it will hurt more,

if you tell yourself you can, you can accomplish anything.

    ps.

    1. stand up straight and have your shoulders relaxed (this will surely prevent strong cramps.)

    2. Drink lots of water.

    3. Breath in through your nose, out through your mouth.

and good luck!:D You will do great
